Just Boppin’ Around

Kansas City – April Sipping Spots

I’m screaming with excitement now that spring has finally rolled in! My mood is so much better when the weather is warmer and I can spend time outside…at a winery! There are so many wineries and vineyards around the Kansas City area to grab a bottle and enjoy the day. I’m sharing 6 of my favorites and what stood out to me. I may have also listed a few extra bonus spots because I have too many favorites in this category!

Ladoga Ridge Winery has been one of my go-to places every spring and summer for a while. I absolutely love the atmosphere here from the inside tasting room to the outdoor space overlooking the vineyard. They will often host events, and have live music, and delicious wine slushies! You’re also able to bring your own snacks so pack a bag and spend the day at Ladoga.

When you pull up to Aubrey Vineyard you will see the cutest red barn building! Inside the barn, you can enjoy a wine tasting or grab a bottle. If it is a nice day out, I do enjoy take my wine to drink out in their cozy patio, they even have fire pits for chillier days! Plenty of snack options are available too.

I love the vibes that Fence Stile has, it’s a serene feeling. It’s a great spot to share a bottle with your best friend and relax. I also love the events they offer throughout the year, especially in the spring and summer. Some of these events include wine-in movie nights on the patio and grape stomping.

Belvoir winery is our local TV star, you may have seen Belvoir featured on multiple shows such as Ghost Hunters, Ghost Adventures, and American Pickers. Belvoir Winery used to be the historic Odd Fellows Home and it’s said many of the past residences still haunt the grounds. Belvoir is also well known for its themed murder mystery parties. I have yet to experience one, but it’s definitely on my bucket list. Belvoir is also an Inn so feel free to have that extra glass of wine and grab a room.

Nighthawk is one of those wineries where I can spend the whole day. They typically have live music every day which provides that feeling of a mini getaway. There is so much space at this winery and you can find many yard games to play. I also love that you are allowed to bring in your own food, so pair your favorite snacks with a bottle or 2.

Serendipity is the most recent of my winery finds. When we pulled up I fell in love with the adorable tasting room and the furry four-legged greeter. Yes, they have a winery dog, her name is Riesling and she’s adorable. We were prepared to grab a bottle, but we saw that Serendipity offered Butterfly Flights, or as they call them Butterflights, which allows you to sample a wide range of their wines. Another little feature at Serendipity that I thought was cool is that they have cute private tables inside of horse stables, which would be so awesome for bachelorettes or birthdays

Bonus wineries I want to shout out
