Kansas City – March Sipping Spots

Anna Marie’s Tea Shop

(9 W Franklin St, Liberty, MO 64068)

Anna Marie’s Tea Ship is located in the cute historic downtown Liberty Square. This adorable space was my first experience with a tea shop and I fell in love. The Anna Marie team was so kind and shared awesome recommendations. New tea blends are added frequently and they also sell all your needed tea accessories. Although this is just a shop and you can’t enjoy cups in person they do host monthly themed tea parties. I can’t wait,  I’m attending the June tea party.

2.

Emilie’s Tea Shop

(8131 Wornall Rd, Kansas City, MO 64114)

I discovered Emilie’s French Teas when working on a campaign for the Waldo Neighborhood. Emilie’s is both a tea shop and a tea room where you can sit back and relax with a cozy cup of tea. The staff is so kind and they’re willing to offer recommendations based on your taste. I ordered a special Christmas tea when I was there and I was obsessed when it was brought out in my own personal teapot. To elevate the experience even more Emilie’s French Teas also offers French Frech Pastries. Tea classes and private tea parties are also offered at this tea shop. Of course, I can’t mention Emilie’s Tea without talking about the infrared sauna and tea service, where you can sip on a detoxifying tea while relaxing in their infrared sauna.

3.

Savoy Tea Co.

(2108 Wyandotte St, Kansas City, MO 64108 | 16953 City Center Dr, Lenexa, KS 66219)

Savoy Tea Co. has two locations in the KC area, the first being in Lenexa and the new location inside the Crossroads District. This one is currently on my bucket list to try. Not only do you have the option to purchase one of their many specialty loose leaf teas, but they also have the perfect setup to sip and get some work done. Other unique features of Savoy Tea Co. are their tea flights, the pretty iced tea drinks, coffee, and more. I definitely suggest going out to their Instagram to see the special treats they serve up.

4.

Shang’s Tea House

(2450 Grand Blvd, Kansas City, MO 64108)

Shang’s Tea House is the place to go for the most authentic Chinese tea in KC. All of the shops teas are grown in  China’s Fujian Province, an area renowned for its tea for over 1,000 years. The production of the tea is even overseen by the owner himself, Zehua Shang. With such fine teas,  it only makes sense that Shang’s Tea House also has amazing teaware to match, so be sure to check it out after making your loose-leaf tea selections.

5.

Bruu Cafe

(4709 Central St, Kansas City, MO 64112)

I wanted to include Bruu tea in this list to show how tea can be enjoyed in many different ways. Bruu Cafe is a bubble tea shop known for its delicious and gorgeous drinks. They have fruity teas, milk teas, and even holiday teas all including their yummy boba. Their current location is in the Country Club Plaza making it the perfect spot to grab a tea to fuel you up to do some shopping. They also have another location coming soon to Park Place in Leawood.
