Just Boppin’ Around

Travel – Charleston, SC

Charleston had been on my travel bucket list for such a long time. I was always so intrigued by colorful buildings, the weather, and frankly all the hype about the amazing cocktail bars and restaurants. So when I finally made it out to the Holy City it did not disappoint. This was one of my favorite cities to explore and I still have so much to see so I’m already wanting to get back ASAP! Here are our favorite spots and activities we did.

1.

The Citrus Club

(334 Meeting St 8th floor, Charleston, SC 29403)

The Citrus Club is located on the rooftop of the Dewberry Hotel. This is such a stunning bar and the view of Charleston is incredible. Perfect for a place to enjoy a happy hour. The drinks are delicious and will meet your vacation vibe needs.

2.

5 Church/Church and Union

(32b North Market Street, Charleston, SC 29401)

Spend Sunday morning brunch at church. Church and Union is beautiful restaurant inside a former church. The food was phenomenal especially if you are looking for filling breakfast of southern comfort food. One of my favorite parts of this brunch was the mimosa flight…these are full size mimosas not just little tasters. Reservations are definitely needed for brunch.

You can’t go to Charletson with out visiting the famous Rainbow Row. Rainbow Row is a street of historic homes that are all painted gorgeous pastel colors. This is the place to get some amazing pictures and feel the history of Charleston.

4.

Bourbon & Bubbles

(570 King St, Charleston, SC 29403)

This is the place to go if you want to feel a little fancy. Located on upper King Street, this restaurant and bar is awesome for stopping in for a drink or a meal. We went during happy hour and sat at the bar. I ordered the King Street Crab Dip and paired it with the sweet First Love cocktail.

If you are trying to figure out which Charleston activities and tours to do I would be sure to include the sunset cruise from Sandlapper Tours. You get to see all of Charleston from the water and enjoy one of the best sunsets I’ve seen. There is a bar on board to help quench your thirst. If you’re lucky you may even see some dolphins.

6.

Little Palm at Ryder Hotel

(237 Meeting St, Charleston, SC 29401)

Little Palm was such a fun find. It is located at the Ryder Hotel. It’s a restaurant and bar that also has a pool. If you are grabbing a drink at Little Palm, but aren’t a guest at the hotel you can still enjoy the pool, which is awesome. The place is so cute and colorful. They serve refreshing costal cocktails.

7.

Callie’s Hot Little Biscuit

(476 1/2 King StreetCharleston, SC 29403)

Every morning you can find a line outside of Callie’s Hot Little Biscut. This was one of our last stops while in Charleston. The shop is very small inside, but it holds a whole lot of deliciousness inside. The line does move very quickly and it’s totally worth the wait. These are melt in your mouth biscuits and biscuit sandwiches. I’m still dreaming about my Bacon, Egg, and Chesse breakfast biscuit sandwich.
